The apricot kernel is the seed from inside the apricot stone. It is obtained by cracking open and removing the hard stone shell. Those kernels are rich in fibres and omega-3 fatty acids. The bitter apricot kernels contain amygdalin that can be toxic. As these apricot kernels are mostly sweet, they contain lower levels of the potentially dangerous substance. However, it is advisable not be consumed in excessive quantities (1-2 kernels daily).
Recommended use: Add apricot kernels to your breakfast, desserts or consume as a snack. We recommend to soak them for 2-3 hours before use.
