Start the day chocolaty and delicious with a bett`r recipe for vegan chocolate mousse with avocado and Bett’r Coconut Chips with Salted Caramel (for the adventurous with chili).
Ingredients for Vegan chocolate mousse:
- 2 ripe avocados (190 g)
- 2 ripe bananas (210 g)
- 80 g of cocoa
- 2 tbsp. vanilla essence
- 1 tbsp. lemon essence peel of an orange, finely grated – set aside
- 1 tsp. for sprinkling
- 120 ml. Maple syrup
- 10 dates, well-cut, you can peel them if desired 100 ml. milk (you can use pistachio milk)
Instructions for Vegan chocolate mousse
Grind the dates into a fine paste (if the dates are dry, soak them for 30 minutes in hot water).
Melt the coconut butter.
Squeeze the juice from the orange.
In a bowl, mix the ground dates, carob powder, cocoa butter, tahini, salt, and cinnamon to get a homogeneous dough. Start adding the orange juice little by little, stirring the mixture. If the mixture is too soft to model, refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm. Form truffles of the same size and roll them in carob powder.
